Master Marine Mechanic
Tahoe Boat Repair & Storage is looking for an experienced Master Marine Mechanic to join our team. We are looking for a highly skilled, dependable marine technician who can step into the shop and get to work from day one. This is an experienced-level position. We are not looking to train someone from the ground up. The ideal candidate will have substantial hands-on experience diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining marine engines and systems and be comfortable working independently.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven professional experience as a marine mechanic / marine technician
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to independently diagnose mechanical, electrical, fuel, cooling, and related marine-system issues
- Experience performing engine repairs, maintenance, rigging, and installations
- Ability to accurately identify problems and complete repairs efficiently and correctly
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently while also being a dependable member of a professional team
- Professional attitude and commitment to customer service
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Manufacturer Certifications
Certifications and experience with the following manufacturers are strongly preferred:
- Yamaha
- PCM (Pleasure Craft Marine)
- Indmar
- Volvo Penta
- Mercury
Candidates with multiple manufacturer certifications will be given strong consideration.
We’re looking for a true marine professional who understands that boats require specialized knowledge, careful diagnostics, and quality workmanship. You should be confident working on a variety of marine engines and systems and capable of taking a boat from diagnosis through completed repair without needing constant supervision or step-by-step training.
